Assessments and implementation have an end date. A security program doesn't. The vCISO retainer covers everything in the first two engagements and adds the part that only works if somebody owns it continuously: ongoing oversight of control activity, and the governance that keeps a program defensible between audits.
Who this fits: organizations roughly 25-500 people with a compliance obligation, a security-conscious customer base, or a board that has started asking. If you have a full security team and just need hands, we're probably not the right fit - and we'll say so.
